Check Out NASA's Space Station Research App!

NASA has an amazing app called the Space Station Research Explorer, filled with tons of great information about the International Space Station (ISS) and all the research going on there. This app lets you take a peek inside the ISS facility, learn about current and past experiments, and even play interactive games! There's a lot to explore within the app, and many links to videos, podcasts, and more.

You can find this free app in the App Store (for both iPhone and iPad) by searching for "SSRE" or "Space Station Research Explorer." If you have an Android device, just go to the Google Play store and search for "ISS Research Explorer."

Anthropologist's Note: Some people may think the ISS astronauts are just up there doing "space stuff" that has no relevance to the daily life of many people here on Earth. Actually, the scientists living on the ISS work in many different areas of science, and contribute research used to solve real-world problems! This will be the topic of a future post, but for now, check out the NASA Spinoff website at: https://spinoff.nasa.gov/  NASA has a famous phrase: "Off the Earth, For the Earth." It refers to all the research done on the ISS (Off the Earth), which ultimately benefits all of humanity and our planet as a whole (For the Earth).
